Welcome! C & L Hawthorne and Son's Inc. is a small Family owned Business in Jupiter Florida. Charles F. Hawthorne started out with two machines in 1967 under the name Hawthorne Excavators, working mainly around the Richmond and Chesterfield Virginia area. Growing up the son of a Tobacco Farmer he was no stranger to hard work. He quickly built up a reputation for quality work done at a fair price and on time. His business thrived and grew until 1993 when he decided to sell the company and move to West Palm Beach. He soon started another company, C & L Hawthorne and Son's, and adapted his knowledge of earth work to the sands and swamps of Florida. He quickly made a name for himself in Jupiter Florida and the surrounding areas of Stuart, West Palm Beach, Wellington, and Tequesta. Charles lost a personal battle with bone cancer on February 27, 2010. His courage and strong will to finish anything that he started has been a great inspiration to me. I am Robert F. Hawthorne, his son, and I have been working at his side since the age of nine. I have 43 years experience at shaping the Earth and will continue to practice the morals, work ethics, and principles that he taught me to complete your projects.
